I'm JC Cantu, and as a proud native of the Rio Grande Valley, I have an intimate knowledge of the area and a passion to help my clients, friends, and family find the home of their dreams. Throughout my life, I've been blessed with the opportunity to have lived in New York City, Missouri, and Los Angeles, but like a boomerang, I always manage to come back home to the McAllen area. I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University, and my Master of Legal Studies from Purdue University.
Before diving into the world of Real Estate, I lived and breathed the movies. I worked in Hollywood as Casting Director on over 100 feature films from 2003-2018. What’s a Casting Director, you might ask? A Casting Director auditions all the speaking roles in every film and television show you see both on the big screen and your tv screen, working hand in hand with the director, producers, actors and their agents, managers, and attorneys. Casting Directors not only need a keen eye for talent, but a clever mind for making contractual offers to actors and negotiating with their agents to close the deal. It’s not so different from Real Estate, when you think about it… just swap the talented actor for a beautiful home and let’s make a deal!
